Stages
Pain levels are not related to the extent(stage) of the disease.
Adhesion- Adhesions are fibrous bands that form between tissues and organs, often as a result of injury during surgery and Endometriosis. They may be thought of as internal scar tissue that connects tissues not normally connected.
Lesions- Endometriosis occurs when the endometrial lining normally found inside the uterus begins to grow outside the uterus. These growths are called lesions. They may grow on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or other areas near the uterus. Endometrioma- Endometrioma is a type of cyst formed when endometrial tissue (the mucous membrane that makes up the inner layer of the uterine wall) grows in the ovaries. It affects women during the reproductive years and may cause chronic pelvic pain associated with menstruation. |
